Two programmes: SYNTONIA — social support and mental health, GRADIENT BUILDERS — technology for communities, the environment, health and reconstruction.
How it is organised
NGO GRADIENT is one legal entity: statute, General Meeting, Board, accounting, policies and an annual report. Two programmes work under it, each with its own team and budget. Documents, reporting and accountability are shared.
SYNTONIA
A social support and mental health programme. A community of psychologists, psychotherapists and helping professionals who work evidence-based and without stigma — and free social services for veterans, defenders, their families, people with disabilities and people in difficult life circumstances. Online across Ukraine, in person in Kyiv.

Help resolving conflict at home or at work.
Later
Crisis intervention and socio-psychological rehabilitation once the team can respond around the clock. Until then, in acute crisis we refer to crisis lines and 112.
Services are provided by NGO GRADIENT within SYNTONIA, guided by the state standards of social services. We are working towards listing in the Register of Social Service Providers.
Everything is free. NGO GRADIENT does not sell services and takes no payment from recipients. Specialists are engaged by the organisation under employment, civil-law or volunteer agreements, with supervision and under our internal policies.
GRADIENT BUILDERS
A technology programme. We take a real problem from a community, hospital or public body, build a team of veterans, students, engineers and researchers around it, and take the solution from prototype to deployment.

How the programmes work together
A veteran who has gone through social adaptation in SYNTONIA can receive employment support — and join a GRADIENT BUILDERS team. GRADIENT BUILDERS, in turn, builds tools for help itself: navigation to services, tele-rehabilitation, digital mental health tools.

Frequently asked questions
Are the social services paid?
No. Social services within SYNTONIA are free for recipients. They are funded by grants, donations and social commissioning by communities. The NGO does not sell services and takes no payment from recipients.
Who provides the services?
Legally, NGO GRADIENT. In practice, qualified SYNTONIA specialists — psychologists, social workers, lawyers, mediators — under contracts with the NGO or as volunteers, under supervision.
Are you listed in the Register of Social Service Providers?
Not yet. The statute amendments adding social services have been adopted; once registered, we apply to the Register.
Are all SYNTONIA services free?
Yes. NGO GRADIENT’s social services are free. We charge nothing for any of our services and never refer recipients to paid specialists.
