For veterans, defenders, students, mentors, volunteers, partners and municipalities — there is a role for each. The form takes two minutes.
Find your role
Veteran, defender, student, researcher, someone without experience, senior engineer or partner — there is a format of participation for each.
Veterans and defenders
Build your own product or change profession: product manager, developer, analyst, tester or subject-matter expert.
Students and newcomers
A first genuine experience on a team even without a portfolio. Development, design, analytics or testing, mentored by seniors.
Mentors
Senior engineers and product leads — lead teams. Flexible voluntary involvement: a few hours a week gives the product quality and gives you reach.
Volunteers
You do not have to be an engineer. Lawyers, accountants, psychologists, media people, coordinators — we need hands and heads, not only code.
Partners and donors
Support a direction with grants, pilots or expertise. Your contribution becomes real solutions rather than reports.
Municipalities and public bodies
Have a problem with no budget and no contractor? Describe it. Our projects are born from exactly such problems — and they stay with you.
Application form
It takes about two minutes. Only name, email and role are required.
The application reaches us by email. We reply within five working days from hello@gradientcenter.org. If nothing arrives, check your spam folder or write to us directly.
What happens after you apply
- We read the application and reply within five working days — even if the answer is no.
- If the role fits, we arrange a short conversation about expectations, the format of participation and the time involved.
- Before work begins a contract is signed. It includes the assignment of intellectual property rights to the organisation — a requirement of section 8 of the Statute and a condition of working with donors.
- Then a specific project and team. The first teams are being recruited around the fourth quarter of 2026.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to my data?
Contact details are used only to get in touch about participation. A service partner handles delivery. We do not share them with third parties for their own purposes. Applications are kept for 24 months, then deleted.
Does applying mean joining as a member?
No. Taking part in a project and membership are different things. Membership is arranged by a separate written application to the Chair of the Board, decided by the Board.
I was turned down. Is that final?
No. A refusal usually means there is no project matching your role right now. Write again in a few months, or leave your email and we will let you know when recruitment opens.
I am not in Ukraine. Can I take part?
Yes. Foreign nationals and stateless persons lawfully present in Ukraine may be members. For mentoring and volunteering, geography does not matter.
