We opened a survey of veterans' needs

Before building technology for veterans, we want to hear the people we are building for. The survey is anonymous.

We opened a survey about the needs of veterans. Before building technology for people, we want to hear those people.

Why we start here

The easiest way to build something nobody needs is to invent the need from a desk. In technology for veterans this happens constantly: applications appear that nobody uses, because they solve a problem that does not exist and miss the one that does.

How it works

Anonymity
The survey runs in Google Forms without collecting contact details.
Time
A few minutes.
Results
We will publish the aggregated answers openly. They may be useful to other organisations working with the same audience.

If you represent a veterans' community, please share the survey. Write to hello@gradientcenter.org and we will send ready-made text and a banner.

What happens next

The results will shape the priorities of our health and accessibility work — telerehabilitation, digital mental health, assistive technology. That is clause 3.2.4 of the Statute, and it is where the need is greatest and the supply smallest.
